They planned to interfere, confront and entrap ICE. Ignorance is not a defense. Anyone with half a brain would know driving away is both an admission of guilt, and justification for police to use force to stop you, including deadly force. They have no idea what your intent is, and must assume your attempt to flee implies criminal intent – i.e. you could hurt or kill other people.
