If the family says their thief was murdered, then that means the rest of the family was in on the attempted robbery and should be charged as an accessory.
We use to shoot horse thieves, back in the day. Or hang them. So the home owner took care of business himself. Saving the police money, time and the city, court appearances of all involved. Well done young man.
