I support anything and everything that makes Hollywood crazy.

    • It was named after John F Kennedy for the record, and no doubt, the criticisms liberal make about Trump actually do apply to Kennedy who was a womanizer.

  1. “…that makes Hollywood go crazy.” They were already there. Wait till these loudmouths realize that there is no free speech in GB.

  2. Trump rightfully deserved to put his name on the building. The Liberals starting with ignoring the Kennedy center for decades. Imagine, this is what Google a liberal biased search engine had to say???

Before recent major renovations, the Kennedy Center faced significant challenges, including a large deferred maintenance backlog, outdated facilities struggling to meet modern technical and accessibility needs, inefficient operations, underutilized spaces (like unused underground rooms from earlier expansions), and general disrepair in some areas, prompting calls for massive investment and modernization to preserve its iconic status as a national cultural landmark.
    Key Issues Before Renovations:
Physical Deterioration & Outdated Tech: The building, though iconic, needed major upgrades for safety, accessibility, and modern performance technology (lighting, sound, rigging) in its theaters.
Operational Inefficiencies: The GAO noted inconsistent project management and a lack of fully defined maintenance policies, potentially wasting federal funds.
Underutilized Spaces: Earlier expansions, including costly underground areas and large exterior cubes, were not serving their intended purpose, leading to wasted resources.
Financial Strain: The center faced a massive deferred maintenance backlog (estimated in the hundreds of millions), requiring large federal appropriations for repairs.
“Dire Shape” Claims: Some reports described the building as being in “dire shape” and “falling apart,” leading to discussions about potential demolition, though others argued it was structurally sound but needed significant work.
In essence, while still a prestigious venue, the Kennedy Center was burdened by years of deferred maintenance and evolving needs, necessitating large-scale, multi-phase renovations to ensure its future as a world-class performing arts center.
