Awful, Awful & heart-rending events. Psychologically/Socially, the theory is that some children born to good parents are “not a good fit” w/them & no matter what parents do to “save them,” does not work for the child or the parents. We are NOT born with a “clean slate,” though 50 yrs ago, we thought so, & believed that nurturing could solve or “head off” every ill. Additionally, drugs & addiction can be symptoms of the ill fit, the early signal that the child requires severe & immediate interventions in order to participate in “normal” society, let alone “normal” family relations. In fact, behaviors usually pre-date the drugs. Even then…sometimes it does not work, as maybe in this case. Sadly, love is not a cure all, either. Sometimes you can only save yourself & your other loved ones.
Doesn’t matter what you do, what you give, how much love you pour into some people, evil is evil. Psychopaths don’t have consciences.
As for what Trump said I am embarrassed that Trump said that. Hey man, take the high road. If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all. He could have said, we weren’t friends but this is a very sad thing. I didn’t like the man either, but as a Christian, as a human being we should have empathy, even for our enemies.
I feel much more sorry for the wife, who was probably an innocent victim and what the rest of the kids have to live with. As for meathead, his big mouth makes it very hard to have any sympathy for him. It’s not so much his political views differ from mine, but it’s the fact he has embraced the election fraud and violent attempts at taking over this country by the Marxist dummycrats. He supported defunding the police, but I’ll bet he was sure wishing for police help while being stabbed to death. He was a snobby Hollywood elite who didn’t give a damn about the common people, the ones who PAY to watch the movies, just his Hollywood elite clique.

I agree with everything you say, Wilddog–but I would like to throw in one further thing: his movies sucked! The Princess Bride? What, are you kidding me, Jesse? There was almost NOTHING that I liked about ANY of his work, as a filmmaker–if he hadn’t lived, and hadn’t made the movies he did–I wouldn’t have missed ANYTHING, at all! I have seen THOUSANDS of movies–and not just American ones. I recently watched a movie, made in Belarus, spoken only in Russian, about the fall of the city of Mogilev, during the early days of the German invasion of the Soviet Union, during WWII. Yes, it would have been nice if I had understood more of what they were saying (knowing only about a hundred words in Russian is nowhere near enough!), but I watched it to see a relatively accurate recent portrayal of completely incompetence of communism, in the Red Army, and I wasn’t disappointed. Not having been made in Russia proper, the Belarusians could afford to be a little more honest, about the incompetence of the Soviet Union (due to being communist), and it’s resulting complete collapse of it’s defense, during the early days of Hitler’s invasion. In that titanic struggle, of two totalitarian dictatorships against each other–the main advantage that the communists had was that they were fighting the fascists–who were MORE incompetent, than they were. It was just a question of which side made the least number of mistakes, as to who eventually won. But, who did win, anyway? The communists, with their 27 million dead? Or the fascists, with their 12 to 15 million dead? 70 million or more dead, worldwide, including all other countries, during that horrific struggle, from 1931 to 1945…
Anyway, the point here is that I watch a LOT of movies, many with interesting historical value–and my two best recent movies are Reagan and Midway. These movies have value. But the Princess Bride? And those other movies he made? What value did they have? His immoral and God-less existence, led to his movies (that made me uneasy), and ultimately led to his destruction. There was a true liberal, a man who could’ve embraced communism, with no problem. Goodbye, Meathead–we won’t miss you!
Why is it necessary to point out the obvious? Doesn’t matter if you liked him or not, he was entitled to his views. We raised HOLY H8LL at comments made when Charlie Kirk was killed. Now is NOT the time to lower ourselves to their level and take cheap shots! A man and his wife were brutally murdered. Money does not protect you from evil or mentally deranged people, even family! STOP, think before you give in to petty comments and needlessly strengthen their low opinions of us! We are better than that. Let’s act like it!
